I've been working on a record for a band called The Deuce Project, that will be coming out on Maverick in January. The single "Stone Cold" is out in the fall on radio. I'm singing on a couple of tracks, play some guitar and keys. I also was able to write a few songs and have some fun with Josh and Noah, and The Berman Bros.

As an ongoing tribute to mental health, I've been working on my own stuff and am finishing up what I've done at home. I've had the pleasure to work with a real maestro on bass. His name is Eric Klaastad (Phoebe Legere, Debbie Harry, Art Garfunkel, etc.). Eric is playing a lot of upright and fretless bass so the sound is really very different and more melodic than Mer.

I've been discovering some really great new records lately. I love Wilco's "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot." What an amazing and kind of random sounding record. Also I've become really intrigued by Jack Johnson and his record "Brushfire Fairytales." He's got a great vibe and a cool sort of eloquence chats addictive. Maybe its his surf film background. Also been anxiously awaiting the new Beth Orton release..

I am playing a show at The Village Underground on July 31. Hope you can make it. Stay cool over the summer and stay in touch. Its always great to get your comments!

See ya,
